Take the opportunity to hear Matt Yannopoulos (CTO and First Assistant Secretary at the Department of Defence) present practical insights on delivering effective ICT Strategy and Architecture at an ACS event in Canberra on 1st August.
The presentation will be based on Matt’s extensive experience in a number of government agencies in Canberra. Matt currently provides direction and oversight to the ICT Strategy and Architecture for Defence. He has a passion for technology that improves business outcomes in a sustainable way.
Defence spends over $1billion on ICT each year. The Defence environment is comprised of over 100,000 desktops, 6000 servers, 8 satellite constellations and the biggest network in the country after Telstra and Optus. Perhaps more important and challenging is the complex and diverse range of stakeholders and business outcomes that ICT supports at Defence. Defence is currently undergoing a major ICT reform program driven by ICT Strategy and Architecture under Matt’s purview.
Matt will provide practical advice on effective ICT Strategy and Architecture as well as taking questions from the audience. For more details see
